Hiding in my craftroom from the pollen outside......

I'm on a crafting roll here, hiding from the pollen outside. Made a terrible mistake last Friday with the weather being so lovely, so I spent some time outside, for which I dearly payed a price. I was só sick afterwards. So I've been confined to the house all day yesterday and also today. On the upside, I did loads of crafting!
Here's another spread for my Round Robin friend Esther. I used loads of supplies, crackle medium, acrylic paint, Distress Paints, Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, Glitter Gel Medium, design paper (which you hardly see anymore LOL), and black Stazon ink.
The faces were made with an Andy Skinner stencil, a dabber and black Stazon ink, herethey are side by side.

Here's a close up of the Glitter Gel Medium (which is by Imagination Crafts b.t.w.). Love that stuff!!
And lo and behold, I managed to get the shimmer of the spray down in this picture. That usually is near enough impossible, so I was quite surprised it actually showed up!
So ladies, I do hope you áre enjoying this nice weekend in the sun. I think I will just do some more crafting now, LOL! Hugs Frea

One day, Alice came to a fork in the road.......

This spread I made for the Round Robin I have entered, and so is going on a trip to the next Round Robin member. The owner of this Journal is an Alice in Wonderland lover, and since I had these gorgeous Make it Crafty digital stamps, they just had to go on this spread. I sprayed some Goosebumps on the background and then coloured with dylusions, hence the white spots.
Alice and the Cheshire Cat were printed on watercolour paper. I coloured Alice partly with Distress Inks and also with Dylusions. The mushrooms were all coloured with Dylusions.
The Cheshire Cat was coloured entirely with Dylusions. The pipes he's sitting on with Distress Inks. I wanted his eyes to really pop, so I gave them some Glossy Accents. I used Perfect Pearls Gold, mixed with water to paint in all the valves and stuff. The plants at the bottom were stamped with a Stampotique stamp.
Here you can see the two pages of the spread beside each other.

Hope you enjoyed this one. I think it looks so cheerful with the bright colours. Have a great weekend everyone! Hugs Frea

A canvas made with a phone made selfie of my daughter and me.

Waiting for the carnaval parade, we got a little bored and made this selfie, which was too cute to waste, so I made this canvas with it. Love how it turned out.
I started by gessoing and then put crackle medium on the edges followed by some peach coloured acrylic paint. That gave such a pretty fine crackle effect. I then stamped with a script background stamp and Distress Ink Frayed Burlap. Next I took a sheet of Prima designer paper, roughly distressed the edges and glued that down on the canvas. I cut strips from some leftovers of the same Prima papers Delight and glued them down.
Then I sprayed some Lindy's Stamp Gang starburst spray Wild Honeysuckle Coral on the paper and used a TCW stencil reversed chicken wire with some texture paste I coloured with a brown acrylic paint. I then splashed some sepia coloured Ecoline on with a brush.
When putting the picture down on the canvas I decided black and white was too harsh, so I used a beige Copic marker to soften it up. It gave a slight vintage look to the picture which I really liked. Then I lightly distressed the picture. After gluing it down I added metal photo corners on two edges of the picture.
All the wooden embelishments are also by Prima; I distressed the edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink to make them stand out more. The light pink and beige flowers are all by Wild Orchid and the peach flowers I made by layering more flower and adding a WOC flower in the center. The metal embelishments I've had for a while, and I have no idea where I bought them anymore.
I do hope you like my canvas, and maybe give you some inspiration. Have a great week, hugs Frea

Round Robin Spread

This spread I made in the Round Robin Art Journal of Karin. I started with Some blue acrylics mixed with an Acrylic Glazing Medium and a Crafter's Workshop stencil called Mini Mayan Calendar.
I then sprayed the background with Lindy's Stamp Gang Moon Shadow spray and added some Distress Stain.
I coloured two Stampotique stamps with my trusted Copic Markers, cut them out and coloured the edges with a black Copic marker. To make sure they do not look like the're floating in air, I put some washi tape under their feet.
The quote was typed on my old trusted typewriter and I just love it's vintage look. I enhanced that by distressing the edges and using Distress ink Walnut Stain. I used some leftover strips of design paper which I stitched with my sewing machine, and then added a strip of plaster gauze which I coloured with Distress Stain.
Here's a close up of the circle made with the stencil. When drying the paint and glaze started bubbling which was a happy accident because I loved the effect and the way the spray collected in the indentations.
I hope you like my spread, I must admit I was pretty happy with it (blush). I'm now off finding challenges. If you want to know what supplies I used, check out the supply list I added. Click on the product and it will take you directly to a webshop that carries that particular item.
Have a great week, hugs Frea
